Sarah Oliver- Dance Podiatrist

From a young age, dance has been an integral part of my life, with a particular passion for the elegance and discipline of ballet.

The intricate movements and the grace required in ballet captivated me, and I dedicated countless hours to perfecting my technique.

During this journey, I became acutely aware of the physical demands ballet places on the feet, which sparked an interest in understanding the biomechanics behind these movements.

This curiosity led me to pursue a degree in podiatry, where I could combine my love for dance with a scientific approach to foot health.

Through rigorous study and hands-on experience, I gained a deep understanding of how to prevent and treat the various foot and ankle issues that dancers often face.

My unique background as both a dancer and a podiatrist allows me to empathize with my patients and provide tailored advice that is both practical and effective.

Today, I am proud to work as a Dance Podiatrist in Melbourne, Victoria, where I travel to various dance studios to conduct pre-pointe assessments.

These assessments are crucial for ensuring that aspiring dancers have the necessary strength, flexibility, and technique to progress safely onto pointe.

By identifying potential issues early, I help dancers prevent injuries and achieve their goals with confidence.

Through this fulfilling role, I continue to support the dance community that has given me so much joy and inspiration.
